Our Sunday in McCamey

 

We enjoyed the blessing of another Sunday worship this morning in McCamey and in the afternoon at the McCamey Convalescent Center.  The wonderful weather we are enjoying this weekend in west Texas was reflected on the faces of the faithful who gathered to worship our Awesome God!  This evening was the fourth installment of our Lenten study, "Christianity and World Religions."  We looked at Islam and had a great time of sharing and learning.

The setting sun that lit up the church and serves as a reminder that God is with us from our rising in the morning to the setting of the sun.  Praise be to God!

Father in heaven, at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan You proclaimed Him Your beloved Son and anointed Him with the Holy Spirit. Grant that all who are baptized in His name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess Him as Lord and Savior, who with You and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, One God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

Satisfying Saturday

Roy Kephart and his grandson Randy Brown continued with their project of fabricating a brick-based recycling collection point for soda cans. Phase I is complete: a level brick-base is now in place!

Meanwhile, Pastor Charles continued with his painting project.

 

What a satisfying Saturday! Praise God for a beautiful day in His Kingdom and for faithful folks who are inspired to work to make things better!

The Work Goes On At the Parsonage

The work at the parsonage continued today with Roy Kephart and his grandson Randy Brown continuing the work on the "new-and-improved" recycling bin.  This will be a state-of-the-art storage place; thanks, Roy and Randy!
