UMW tonight


The UMW met tonight at the church with ten in attendance.  Devotional readings were provided by Peggy Garner and Jean Myrick.  Cytha Peters spoke about this month's prayer focus, The Women's Opportunity Fund.
Tonight's program was provided by Jennifer Aguilar about the work being done by the National Missions Institution which is supported by the UMW units around the country.  One setting is in our area, the Alpine Community Center, which is doing some exciting work in west Texas.  We also learned that the pastor in Alpine, the Rev. Jane (Golden) Vaughan is a McCamey High School alumnae.

Following the program, Louise Carll provided the refreshments, a home-made pecan pie.  It was delicious!
