The past two days have been rather damp here at the First UMC in McCamey. The wetness didn't come from rain or snow but from faulty pipes in both the church and at the parsonage.
On Wednesday afternoon, Sherry Phillips and Pastor Charles discovered a leak in the pipes connecting to the water heater. Thanks to Roy Kephart, Bill Lester, and Sherry & Jack Phillips for their hard work in getting the situation under control. They also arranged for the work to begin to restore water to the church.
In the meantime, the leak at parsonage necessitated calling in a plumber and the beginning of repairs to some of the original pipes.
