Joys and concerns from Sunday, May 1st

JOYS
Gloria O.’s sister’s clean bill-of-health --- Grace M.’s mother’s improved health --- Joan and Coy C.’s first great-grandson is to be born today --- Sara and Eric H.’s first baby is to be born tomorrow --- Mary and Jim W. back with us today --- Mary & Jim W.’s son’s family is safe (They were within 5 miles of a North Carolina tornado) --- Visitors Today:  Jeremy, Lynn D. --- Mr. Lynn Davis is from the Gideon's Odessa Camp and is here to share with us today --- End-of-year school activities and all who are associated with this time of graduations and other school changes ---Ashley R.’s successful participation in her dance recital in Crane --- Cytha P.’s upcoming piano recital at the church --- McCamey ISD’s participation in yesterday’s Special Olympics brought home the gold -Cooler weather for us now --- National Day of Prayer activities this week (12:15 p.m. at the Upton County Park).

CONCERNS                                                                                                                                                                    Rain is needed locally, while there is too much rain in other parts of the world and all those affected by weather extremes --- The fire fighters who protect us and all those who serve and protect us --- Ryan W. about to deploy to Dubai and all serving in the military who protect our freedom --- Our veterans who have faithfully served and protected our country - Travelling mercies.
