Our worship service this morning was a joy-filled encounter with God! We were blessed to have a number of mothers on hand of whom four were recognized by the congregation. The oldest mother present was Theodora Matthews; The mother with the most children - Jean Myrick (with four); The youngest mother was of course, Sara Hill; and Jennifer Aguilar was recognized (along with Sara) for having children present this morning.
JOYS: Fire fighters who fight to protect us; The mothers in the world; The Hill Family Pew: 6-day-old Brinlee H. is with us today - with her parents Eric and Sara H. and her grandmother (Sara’s mother); Healing mercies are asked for Verla F.; Good attendance at last week’s observance of the National Day of Prayer in McCamey (about half of the attendees were high school students); The Upton County Emergency Service’s donation to the church of one of their former defibrillators (which now has a new battery in it).
CONCERNS: Rain needed; Healing mercies: Warren F. and Belinda's mother, Sheilla; Travelling mercies for those not with us today. Prayer for the family of Mary Garcia and for the family of Wanda Covill.
